BTS x Megan Thee Stallion Bring Us The Butter Remix

The rumored remix between BTS and Megan Thee Stallion is here!

Megan Thee Stallion’s label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, has lost its court case against the rapper to prevent the release of her remix of BTS’s ‘Butter’.

This is not the first time 1501 Certified Entertainment has tried to block Megan’s music releases. In 2020, 1501 tried blocking the release of her album “SUGA”, but she fought back. After filing a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against her label, the court found that Megan was within her rights to distribute the album on the originally scheduled date. The album was considered one of the best albums of 2020 by Billboard.

For this case, Megan paid $100K for a TRO bond to the court to ensure the release of this remix. It is her label’s belief that the remix will not help boost her career or the label’s financial assets. Megan believes that the label is doing irreparable harm to her career by blocking the release of this song.

The court decided that if she does not make $100K in royalties from the song, the label keeps her money. On the other hand, Megan will get her $100k refunded if the song does well.

What a lot of people are wondering is if this is a marketing ploy to get the upcoming remix more sales. This isn’t the first time her label has made releasing music difficult for the rapper. Consequently, this has led many people to believe that the label might have something against the rapper, especially since they’re trying to block a collaboration with the biggest musical group in the world.

Of course, this hasn’t stopped the song from being released for fans around the world to enjoy.

BTS Collab History

This is not the first time BTS has collaborated with American artists. However, this is one of the messier collaboration announcements.

In the past, the group has collaborated with Nikki Minaj, Lil Nas X, Halsey, and the late Juice WRLD, to name a few. BTS has also recently performed a cover of “I’ll Be Missing You”, and RM has stated he’s a big fan of Nas.

In addition, the members have also done solo collaborations with other artists as well. RM has collaborated with Wale, Fall Out Boy, and Warren G. J-Hope has collaborated with Becky G, and Suga has collaborated with Max.
